It is important to keep in mind, there are several places in Moon Summit that are known wildlife habitats. You can encounter wildlife anywhere in the park, but these areas are considered permanently inhabited. Visitors are encouraged to avoid or proceed with extreme caution:

  • Region 1C, West Edge Cliff - Eagle nest.

  • Region 2A, Silent Cave - Eastern Black Bear habitat.

  • Region 2B, Lightning Valley - Interior Alaskan Wolf habitat.

  • Region 3A, Echo Cavern - Grizzly Bear habitat.

  • Region 5B - Porcupine Caribou migration trail.
