When packing for your trip, it’s best to be over prepared.

Appropriate clothing is essential, so pack according to the season and estimated length of your trip. If you’re traveling during the winter, insulated clothing is key. Lighter clothing is good for the summer, but it’s recommended to bring some warm jackets, as the nights will be cold.

Basic camping supplies and tools are important to have, especially for emergency situations: compasses, flares, and signal mirrors will help if you become lost. A first-aid kit for any accidents is invaluable to bring along. Bear spray and other park-approved animal deterrents are also great contingencies to add to your camping arsenal.

Additional supplies and gear can be purchased during operating hours at the Visitor’s Center, should you forget any important items.

Keep in mind, the park cannot ensure each visitor’s personal safety and is not liable for any accidents.
