In order to protect Moon Summit’s visitors and the wildlife in the park, we ask that everyone review basic safety guidelines and follow all park regulations.

  • Motorized vehicles of any kind are prohibited within park grounds. In case of emergency, the ranger station will dispatch an all-terrain vehicle to arrive at the scene quickly and safely.

  • Do not approach wildlife under any circumstances. It is against park regulations to feed, endanger, and/or otherwise purposefully interfere with wildlife.

  • Carrying food or littering will increase the likelihood of a dangerous wildlife encounter. Make sure to follow park regulations in regards to food storage and waste disposal.

  • A safe campsite is a happy campsite. Dangerous activities that are strictly prohibited on campgrounds include (but are not limited to) drinking alcohol and smoking of any kind.

  • Do not leave any fires unattended. Make sure they are completely extinguished before leaving.

  • In case of an emergency, call 911 or contact the ranger station immediately.
